FAQ's

What time does the race start?
  • The race starts at 9.00pm.
How do I enter?
  • All participants must enter online by the 24th April 2013 by 10 AM.
How much is the entry fee and what does it include?
  • The entry fee is €31.50 (plus €1.50 processing and administration charge).
  • Race fee includes entry to the race, timing chip, number, race shirt, finishers medal and goodie bag.
Is there a cut off time?
  • Yes. The cut off time for the completion of the 10km route is strictly one hour and twenty minutes.
Are toilets provided on the route?
  • Yes. There will be adequate toilet facilities pre race at the start area.
Where will race registration take place?
  • Race Registration will be held in Trinity College Sports Centre on the following dates - Friday 26th April - 11.00 to 20.00, Saturday 27th April - 11.00 to 18.00 and Sunday 28th - 11.00 to 16.00.
Will there be a group warm up for the race?
  • A group warm-up will take place on College Green, Dame Street where athletes are being staged.
  • This warm-up will take place around 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
Where is the pre-race baggage drop?
  • The baggage drop will be close to the staging area. Signage will be in place to indicate baggage area.
Will there be medical facilities?
  • Yes, medical facilities will be in place for the race on the route.
  • All medical facilities will be clearly sign posted.

Dublin City Council

Last year was an exceptional year for events in Dublin. The Tall Ships Festival attracted record numbers of visitors adding a much needed boost to the economy and strengthening Dublin’s position as a premier tourist attraction. The Navy versus Notre Dame American Football game added a new flavour to the events scene as well as over 35 thousand welcome overseas visitors.

Continuing our aim to animate the public domain with top class events we have an excellent program for 2013. We encourage new and innovative events through our Expressions of Interest initiative and support for the Gathering 2013, while supporting other events such as the Street Performance World Championships, The Dublin City Marathon, and the Liffey Swim to name but a few, on an annual basis.

Dublin City Council also has a extensive program of events presented by Dublin City Libraries, Parks, Leisure Centres, The City Gallery The Hugh Lane, and Dublin City Hall.

Athletics Ireland

Athletics Ireland is the national governing body for athletics in Ireland. It's primary objective is to promote and develop the sport at every level from recreational running and schools competitions through to supporting Ireland's elite athletes in international competition.

Athletics Ireland retains a strong volunteer ethos and the thousands of administrators, officials and coaches who give freely of their time play a vital role in our organization. We have 280 affiliated clubs with a combined membership of 34,000 juvenile and senior athletes.

We are delighted to be a partner of the Samsung Run Dublin @ Night and look forward to seeing 10,000 athletes run through Dublin City on the 28th of April.
